AZO Anwendungszentrum GmbH Oberpfaffenhofen is an international networking and branding company for the European space programmes, supporting entrepreneurship with more than 700 companies founded in Europe. Over the last 15 years, AZO has established the leading European space cluster innovation network for the satellite downstream market. AZO provides the necessary marketing and promotion platform, incubation and expert network, as well as regional funding programmes with the objective to increase the uptake of business cases.

ESA BIC Baden-Württemberg

In Baden-Württemberg, the ESA Business Incubation Center (BIC) supports start-ups at their locations in Reutlingen and Friedrichshafen.

The Reutlinger Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) represents the interests of companies and provides vital stimuli for the success and growth of the regional economy. Since 2018, the related Insitute for Knowledge Management and Transfer Management (IHK-IWW) manages the ESA BIC in Reutlingen as a subcontractor to cesah and acts as a coordinator for the two locations in Baden-Württemberg, one in Reutlingen and one in Friedrichshafen. With technical support from Robert Bosch and Airbus the ESA BIC in Baden-Württemberg supports 8 startups per year.

Additionally, in 2020 the ESA BIC in Baden-Württemberg became an accredited body for the PreSeed start-up program of the State of Baden-Württemberg, in which start-ups co-financed by an investor have the opportunity to receive additional capital from the State of Baden-Württemberg, measured in terms of the amount invested. Since 2007 the IHK-IWW has been responsible for organizing the state of Baden-Württemberg’s participation in the Galileo Masters competition.

ESA BIC Hessen

The ESA Business Incubation Center (BIC) in Hessen/Darmstadt offers you several unique benefits to get your (space) business off the ground.

cesah is a centre of competence for space technologies and applications and supports start-ups in the technical development, realization and marketing of new products and services related to space. For more than 13 years, cesah has been managing an ESA Business Incubation Centre (BIC) in Darmstadt, since 2018 with two more sites in Baden-Württemberg in close cooperation with IHK Reutlingen and Airbus DS in Friedrichshafen. By end 2020, the ESA BIC Hessen & Baden-Württemberg has been supporting 133 start-ups, out of which 73 have become alumni in the meantime. Since 2014, cesah is also the ESA Technology Transfer Broker for Germany, joining forces with EurA AG.

ESA BIC Northern Germany

The ESA Business Incubation Centre (BIC) Northern Germany is the new flagship project for the aeronautics and space sector in Bremen. Our space is set to take on startups from Bremen as well as from other federal states in Northern Germany.

AVIASPACE BREMEN e.V. is an association of dedicated companies and application-oriented research institutes in and around the federal state of Bremen. This network implements the federal state of Bremen’s strategy for the aeronautics and space industries. AVIASPACE focuses on network formation, technology transfer and economic growth fostering young entrepreneurs and start-ups in particular.

ESA BIC North Rhine-Westphalia

The ESA Business Incubation Centre (BIC) North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) is specially tailored to startups in NRW working on ideas and businesses with a space connection. The EurA team will be happy to support your business idea through funding, mentoring, networking and technical support.

For several years, the EurA office in Aachen has been providing support to companies and research institutions in the aerospace field and working closely together with the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) and the European Space Agency (ESA). The German Space Agency at DLR commissioned EurA to manage the three national INNOspace networks to promote knowledge and technology transfer between space and other sectors of the economy. In addition, EurA acts as the German ESA Technology Transfer Broker together with cesah GmbH.
